WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CARIBBEAN CITIZENSHIP?
Once you receive citizenship, you will have the same right to live, work, and study as any other citizen. With a Caribbean passport, you will be able to travel visa-free or with a visa-on-arrival to 130+ countries and territories, including major business hubs. You can reside indefinitely in CARICOM countries and stay in the UK up to 6 months continuously.
WHAT IS COMMONWEALTH?
The Commonwealth of Nations, often referred to as the Commonwealth, and formerly known as the British Commonwealth, is an intergovernmental organisation of 54 independent member states. Queen Elisabeth II, the current Queen of the United Kingdom, is the titular head of the Commonwealth of Nations.
HOW BEING A CITIZEN OF A COUNTRY WHO IS A COMMONWEALTH MEMBER HELP ME?
Being a citizen of a member of the Commonwealth of Nations brings several benefits. For example, you will be able to travel easily across member states, you will be protected by the embassies and commissions of other member states across the globe, and you will be eligible for certain sporting activities (the Commonwealth Games).
WILL I BE LIABLE TO ANY TAXES?
There is no wealth, gift, inheritance, foreign income, or capital gains tax.
MUST I RENOUCE MY CURRENT CITIZENSHIP?
No, Caribbean countries allow dual citizenship, and you thus do not need to renounce any other citizenship or passport.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR CITIZENSHIP?
As an applicant for citizenship, you must be at least 18 years of age, of good character, without a criminal record, and able and willing to make the required contribution. You must engage an Authorised Agent who will assist you in preparing the required forms and supporting documents. As for nationality, each country has its own eligibility criteria, please refer to our eligibility page.
DO I NEED TO VISIT OR RESIDE IN THE HOST COUNTRY TO QUALIFY FOR CITIZENSHIP?
No visit nor residency requirement, except Antigua and Barbuda which requires a 5 days visit.
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND AN INTERVIEW?
No, you don’t have to attend a mandatory interview. However an interview may be required at the discretion of the Government.
IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT?
The minimum age requirement for the main applicant is 18 years of age. Permitted dependents may be of any age.
ABOUT FAMILY
DOES CITIZENSHIP EXTEND TO MY FAMILY?
Yes, subject to the fulfilment of certain requirements, citizenship can be extended to your spouse, dependent children, dependent parents and grandparents. Fees vary according to the number of family members you include in your application for citizenship. Criteria differs by country, contact us for more details.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF DEPENDANTS ALLOWED PER APPLICATION?
There is no numerical limit on the number of permitted dependents.

HOW MUCH DOES THE PROGRAMME COST? WHAT ARE THE FEES?
The total cost will be made up of either (1) the contribution to the relevant fund or (2) the investment in pre-approved real estate, plus fees relating to due diligence and the processing of the application. Some fees apply to both citizenship routes, while others depend on whether you choose to obtain citizenship through contribution or real estate. IF I STOP THE APPLICATION, WILL I GET A REFUND?
Yes, except due diligence, processing and some legal fees.

FOR HOW MANY YEARS IS A PASSPORT VALID?
Either 5 or 10 years, depending on the country.
HOW DO I RENEW MY PASSPORT WHEN IT EXPIRES?
Passports are renewed by any Consulate or directly by the Passport and Immigration Office without the need to travel.
WHERE WILL MY PASSPORT BE RECOGNISED?
Everywhere. The passport that you obtain as an economic citizen is a fully legal passport, and is universally recognized by all state parties to the United Nations.
CAN I RENEW MY PASSPORT IF I HAVE ALREADY SOLD THE INVESTMENT PROPERTY?
Yes, as long as you held the property for the required number of years after obtaining your citizenship.

WHO IS AN AUTHORISED AGENT?
An authorised agent is a person or entity licensed by the government, these are typically local agents in the relevant jurisdiction we work with to process your application.
IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS CONFIDENTIAL?
The application process itself is confidential, except where necessary checks are carried out by authorized due diligence agencies and international partners.
WHO IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A POLICE CERTIFICATE?
Each main applicant and all permitted dependents 16 years and older are required to produce a police certificate.
WHAT IS A POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE / CLEAN CRIMINAL RECORD?
A police certificate refers to a statement from a national law enforcement authority on the status of a person’s criminal record. It is also referred to as “Certificate of No Criminal Record” or “Police Clearance Record”.
CAN I SUBMIT MY APPLICATION IN ANY LANGUAGE?
No. You must submit your application in English.
IS THE APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE ONLINE?
No. Application process and forms are only available through authorized agents.
CAN AN APPLICANT REMIT FEES DIRECTLY TO THE GOVERNMENT?
No, applicants are required to go through their chosen agent.
CAN I SUBMIT THE APPLICATION TO THE CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT UNIT MYSELF?
No. You must submit your application through an authorized agent.
HOW LONG DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS TAKE?
Depending on the country, from the moment application is submitted to the government, processing time is 60 to 90 days to get the approval.
